An eighteen eighties charming and unique church situated nearby the Colo river.
This stunning converted church is situated in Lower Portland about a 1.5hr drive from Sydney. This gorgeous property features 2 bedrooms with the main bedroom located upstairs on the mezzanine where you will find a large queen bed and a walk in wardrobe. The second bedroom features a bunk bed with a double bed at the bottom and a single at the top perfect for the little ones. Furthermore, a fully equipped kitchen and dinning room overlooking the acre of property leading down to the Colo River, a bathroom with a large bath and shower. Outside you will find a large open deck, outdoor furniture, tree swing, BBQ area, an abundance of fruit trees, herbs and seasonal veggies.
If your lucky during your stay will have the availability to collect some of the delicious fresh grown produce to use for cooking or juicing. For those rainier days the lovey host offers a number of activities for guest to enjoy which include: board games, Wifi, kayaks, TV with DVD’s and a number of books. For those guest who have a boat there is also a public boat rump 400m from the property at Skeleton Reserve.
During our stay here we enjoyed each morning exploring the local area and river where we always discovered the most beautiful sunrises peaking over the distant mountains, during a morning stroll. Throughout the day we would enjoying picking the garden veggies and fruit to use for both lunch and dinner that day, followed by a bath with a beautiful view & an indoor wood fire, curled up on the couch with a glass of wine & book in hand. We had such a wonderful stay here we found it perfect to relax and unwind after our fast pace travels. We cant thank the beautiful host enough for having us.
