An accommodation experience like no other nestled at the base of an inactive volcano!
Mountain Path Meadows is a very unique property that features 2 x 6m off-grid geodesic glamping domes. Where the property sits on 12 beautiful acres of fertile volcanic soil at the base of Mount Schank about a 15min drive from Mount Gambier. Awaiting you inside the domes are a minimalist, rustic chic interior, both domes feature a fold out sofa and bedding. The beautiful property offers a lot more than just accommodation too, the beautiful owners Dan and Rachel also utilise their property as a wedding venue where they also source talented artisans and instructors to cater for retreats and activities.
During our stay we loved waking up to the slow pace of the area, listening to the sounds and reconnecting with nature. One unique feature about this stay is how close you are to the Mount Schank walking track, walking just out of the domes and literally at the start of the hike. Mount Schank walking track is a 1 hour round loop which we did each morning during our stay. The views from the top and around the loop are some of the best views of the local landscape seeing as far as the town of Mount Gambier. Sleeping in these domes is a truly unique experience and come night time you will experience some of the most magical sights. Luckily we got very clear skies during our stay where we could lie beneath the stars and gaze for many hours completely unhindered by any unnatural light source. Being so close to the heart of Mount Gambier is such a plus for this stay as we also enjoyed exploring the city of Mount Gambier visiting the local coffee shops, markets and sites.
