Our Baycay - @ourbaycay
A gorgeous and relaxing coastal getaway situated in one of the best spots on the YP (York Peninsula) and features fun for the whole family.
This inviting coastal shack is located in the heart of Marion Bay, close to both the local jetty and tavern and situated only 5km from the picturesque Innes National Park. The accomodation is the perfect place for anyone looking to explore the surrounding YP areas or just experience Innes National Park and return to the constant feeling of warmth and comfort. The shack is also completely secure with high fences surrounding the property making it pet friendly and great for secure onsite parking. Inside the shack features 3 bedrooms, 2 entertaining rooms, one with a cast iron fire place, the other with a family sized pool table, lounge and tv, a very well equipped kitchen with all appliances, a bathroom with a shower and toilet. Outside you will find both front and back outdoor seating areas with the back area featuring a large open fire pit perfect for those cozy nights.
Throughout our stay we found ourselves waking up slowly to a morning coffee and a lemon water freshly picked from the tree here in the front yard. We would relax around the indoor fire place until the mid morning. Afterwards we loved to get out and explore the local area walking just 5 minutes to the jetty where we would enjoy getting our feet sandy and taking in those breathtaking views. Slowly making our way into the national park where we could honestly explore for hours, Innes has so much to offer with so many iconic beaches and landmarks its definitely one of our favourite place to get lost in South Australia. We spotted so many emus in the NP, such a cool experience. As the day would come to an end we found ourselves back at the shack challenging each other to a game of pool, which always got way too competitive. Finishing our night off with a delicious meal at the Marion Bay Tavern.
We honestly had such a wonderful time here and cannot thank the beautiful host Alison enough. We always find our selves heading back to Yorkes so we will definitely be back in the near future we’re sure.
