Omaroo - @omaroo_daylesford

A picturesque countryside escape located in the charming town of Glenlyn, Victoria.

Omaroo is a rural escape which offers superb vistas, pink sunset skies and star lit nights. This stunning home features 2 bedrooms each with their own bathroom separated by an expansive living and dining space. From outside you will find a large open decking area which provides privacy, tranquility and those stunning, picturesque countryside views. Utilise the large outside fire pit where you can toast marshmallows on or on the colder nights cosy up by the fire inside. Watch the kangaroos grazing in the next door paddock through the large glass living room doors. In the local town just a 5 minute walk from the house you will find the general store which has great coffee, food, wines and an extensive gin collection. A little further (just a 11min drive) you will also find the charming town of Daylesford. Here you will find a countless number of activities to do, if your a big art fan like we are one of the best things you could do is visit the Bromley collection museum where you will find a constant evolving collection of art, sculpture and objects from David and Yuge Bromley.

During our stay we couldn’t help but rest, breathe and reset. The beautiful modern house in its rural setting makes for the perfect place for this. The house has luxuriously appointed bespoke vintage furniture making us only dream of owning something like this someday. Most of our time was spent sitting around the outdoor fire pit watching the clouds go by and enjoying the company of local kangaroos. We took daily trips into both Glenlyn and Daylesford to explore what the towns had to offer often, stopping to appreciate the charm of the towns. This stay truly is such a magical escape for any couple or family looking to explore the local area or just escape from the city for a few nights. We absolutely loved our stay here and thank Omaroo for hosting us, we can’t wait to return.
