Hounds Run Vineyard - @houndsrunvineyard
Heading to explore the Grampians? We know the perfect place for you!
Hounds Run’s tiny home is located at the foothills of the Grampians nearby Great Western, where it lies on 230 acres of property immersed amongst a well established vineyard. This tiny home was built to be completely off grid and eco friendly, with a self contained fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, hot shower, queen bed, and a loft study. It is the perfect place to base yourself when looking at exploring the Grampians National Park, only a 30 minute drive to Halls Gap where there are a number of great hikes and viewpoints to explore. Or if you’re looking to just escape, this property has the perfect view of the Grampians from every window plus a number of nearby wineries if this is your thing.
The day we arrived unfortunately it was pouring with rain, however the 360 views made us feel complete and we quickly settled in. Making ourselves cosy whilst we enjoyed a wine and listened to the rain. As night fell you really start to realise how beautiful this place is, the skies cleared and the distant rolling hills quickly began to light up with colour. The sunset here was definitely one to remember. The following morning we woke up and enjoyed a coffee on the open deck and went to say “hi” to the neighbours…. some very friendly horses.
Lucy and Hayden the owners of this gorgeous property made us feel very welcome and at home throughout our stay. They actually have some vey unique, upcoming projects in the works including a vintage Melbourne tram which they are converting into accomodation. We can’t wait to see their future projects come to life.
Thanks again to the lovely Lucy and Hayden for hosting us during our stay here at Great Western.
